History of Rock and Roll core curriculum at school?

In every high school, and even every elementary school there is one history subject that should be taught, and that is the History of Rock and Roll. Pop and Rock music is so ingrained in our culture today that it is everywhere – on TV, radio and everywhere that one might go. If you go out to a club and hear a band it is important to know where the music that they are playing comes from, and what else has come from it, otherwise you wouldn’t know wether what you were listening to was bad or good! Therefore teaching the history of Rock and Roll formally in high school music class is one of the best ways that we can give the kids of today essential general knowledge about such things.
