A Child’s Guide To Credit Card Debt

February 7th, 2010 by admin

When my son came to me, he wanted me to co-sign for him for credit cards.  At that point, I decided it was time for a meaningful father son talk.  I wanted to give him a guide to credit card debt that he could use before he got into trouble again.  The first advise I gave him was not to take out credit until he had a way to pay the bills.  Then, once he had an income he should never charge more than he could pay off in the month h e charged it.  If he could do the two things that I described, he would never get into credit card debt problems.
