The National DNCL Rules, the Exclusive Leads Rules and Rules CMA does not apply to calls made through market research, surveys or opinion polls, or even calls for the collection overdue accounts, since they are not telemarketing calls. The solicitation means the sale or promotion of a product or service, or the solicitation of money or monetary value, either directly or indirectly and whether on behalf of another party. Telemarketing calls include calls made by charitable organizations or on their behalf.
