    All About Nutrition Carbohydrates

    Carbohydrates are one of the most important nutrients that the body needs in order to function well. They are available in different types of foods. Carbohydrates are divided into two different groups: simple and complex. Simple carbohydrates include fructose from fruits, sucrose from table sugars and lactose from milk. Complex carbohydrates are fibers and starches.

    It is important that all people intake the right amount of nutrition carbohydratessince it is the main source of blood glucose and energy for the brain as well as the Red blood cells. Selecting unrefined sources of carbohydrates such as fruits and vegetables is advisable as they offer a high content of these nutritive elements as compared to the refined ones.
