Baby Needs Some Air

It was an uneventful first pregnancy, but an extremely difficult delivery. Sometimes I just wanted to call the whole thing off and go home. Having a baby didn’t seem worth all the excruciating labor pains that went on for hours and hours. Finally the doctor decided to do a C-section, as our baby’s heartbeat was showing signs of increasing stress. When our little girl arrived a few minutes later, she didn’t appear very responsive and I started to panic. The nurses assured me that they would check her out thoroughly. An Onyx 9560 was used to measure the oxygen levels in her blood, and the doctor decided to hook her up to a ventilator for a few hours. That’s all it took. She’s as healthy as can be now!
