Mighty Putty advertisements claim that this product can fix, seal and fill any surface and it can be molded into any shape. It can be used to seal a leaky pipe provided the surface is clean. (Considering the amount of water that flows in them, they are most likely to be squeaky clean). The Billy Mays commercial actually shows a truck being pulled by a chain that has been repaired using Mighty Putty. The product basically contains a resin and a hardener which when mixed together create a strong adhesive bond. Mighty Putty is totally non toxic after it has been cured. During usage however, there could be some side effects against which precaution should be taken. It is important to avoid direct contact with eyes or skin as well as inhaling or eating it. The ingredients of Mighty Putty are irritants to the eyes, skin as well as the respiratory system and can cause an allergic reaction if one is not careful. This product should be used in a well ventilated room and should not be brought near an open fire. It is also important to ensure that it does not fall down the drain.
