What a Disaster When You’re Burgled

A friend got burgled the other day. Four men hurled a large rock through my friend’s patio window, in broad daylight. What encourages such audacity from burglars? An easy question to answer: lack of security. Burglars know that neighbourhood watch schemes aren’t really a threat to their criminal intent, so they feel like they can do what they like if they know nobody’s home.
But one thing burglars hate - DIY CCTV kits – which are cropping up all over the place. They’re already filming the criminals as they enter your plot, and the cameras are normally way out of reach for them.
