Fragile Freight Elevators

Tell me the exact differences between a normal passenger elevator and one that can handle freight? We have only one space in the existing wall for one elevator and we most likely will have more use out of freight elevators because the size fits our immediate needs. Why wouldn’t everyone just get a freight capacity elevator installed. Perhaps maybe what I am seeing these days happen to be more like freight capacity elevators because of their standard weights but since they are looking less and less industrial I just consider that they are of the class of elevators that only handles passengers.
