Social networks is used for data mining
December 25th, 2009 by admin
I avoid social networks because companies use it for data mining. So you won’t find me on social networks like facebook or twitter. But if you do want to have a social network account, keep your personal information to a minimum.
For example, never post your home address or home phone number on the Internet. There is no need — because why would you want someone to find out where you live? Even if you just posted your cell phone number, they could run a reverse cellular phone number search easily.
So try not to post any personal information on the Internet. If you do, a pre-paid cell phone number, or Skype phone would do.
