Newborn Baby Feeding: Breastfeeding and its Advantages
July 9th, 2010 by admin
My friends say that I have postpartum depression. I just feel sad. I feel so fat and the pain in my breast is killing me. Crying is a relief. Even if I cry a thousand times during the day I don’t care. I still breastfeed though because I read that for Newborn Baby Feeding, it is still the best way to go. When I feel the pain, I think of all the advantages of breastfeeding.Breast milk contains antibodies that fight against sickness and disease. An important part of breast milk is the colostrums, which they say really heightens the immune system of the baby. Breast milk is also easily digested by the baby’s system, thus the essential vitamins are easily taken in. It has all the necessary vitamins, proteins and fat that a baby needs for him to grow. Breast milk also decreases the chances of the baby to become overweight and obese. For newborn baby feeding, breastfeeding is actually also better for the moms. It prevents engorgement and swelling of the breasts. Plus, it is a good activity to do for losing weight. It burns so many calories that you lose weight even while just sitting and nursing your child. They say that breastfeeding occurs for 6 months and weaning out to formula takes place after. I think I’ll just stick to breastfeeding until I go back to my former weight.
